When I get to heaven the first thing I am going to ask God is why does/did he let bad things happen to good people.....

Our heartfelt prayers go out to Nicole Mixon and her family; as well as our close family the Heyer's. Andy and Jen are making one of the most difficult trips they will ever make in their lifetime....a trip to say their final goodbyes to Nicole.

I couldn't say it any better than Andy did himself. "You had a good run Pretty Eyes".

The Thursday Surprise! Thank you Dawn and Zach for making a stop in FA on your way back home. Was great to look out the front door and see you both walking up the drive. Brightened my afternoon; and makes going to work not seem so tedious.

Somthing is wrong with this picture....

To whom it may concern: Do you see that? Do you see the white substance on this budding tree? And it even covers the ground behind! It is April!! April 18th to be exact and we are still being land blasted with the effects of Old Man Winter (and we're not referring to Johnny here). Forecast tells me - that there will be up to 4 more inches of this stuff yet this week. Geezers! I for one have had enough of this powdery substance for 2011. Begone with you and bring on Mr Sun. Mr Golden Sun. Quit holding him prisoner and send him out to play. Sincerely, Resident of WI

If there is one thing that our son knows how to do, it is how to host a good time. Thus.....the PARTY BUS! Thank you for including the 'old folk' on your excursion. Happy 24th Jonathon!

What a whirlwind weekend!! I am so grateful to have had the time last Thursday to spend the day with my soon to be 24 year old son. We started with an awesome breakfast enjoying the great company of an awesome friend :) Stopped to see Pops at work and then headed for the lakefront taking in the Frank Lloyd Wright exhibit @ the MAM. A leasurely trip home via the 'back roads' rounded out the day. Happy Birthday to you buddy.

Life, it isn't always easy and distance is hard. But know this; you are always going to be my Little Miss. And you are ALWAYS loved!

Since You've Been Gone....

Oh, wait....that should say since I've been gone. Yes, yes - I strayed. I strayed to the fb side of the world and left the blog; well hanging. Poor blog. Got the short end of the stick when fb rolled around. BUT I am back now.....goodbye fb! Looking back through the posts, a lot has happened since December of 2009! Let me give you just a few highlights.

• Kelly & Matt are going to be parents; and that means.....we are going to be Grandparents! How sweet is that!! June cannot come soon enough.


• Jon has moved from Baltimore, to Connecticut to New Jersey and is now in Fairview Heights IL (near St Louis) much closer to home; which pleases us all.


• Hannah has graduated from HS and has spent her freshman year in Eau Claire at the UW there. In the fall, she will be switching majors and transferring to UW Whitewater :)


• John and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary in October (2010) and the children threw us a wonderful surprise anniversary party. Bless there souls, we were totally taken by surprise. Couldn't have done it without help from family and friends....thank you to all.

All in all, life has been good to us. We are healthy, happy and have been blessed by God in many ways. Love to you all, stay tuned for more posts.
